SPRINGFIELD, MO. ? Evangel scored all of its points in the first half on the way to a 28-15 season-opening Heart of America Conference football win over Baker Saturday night.

Both of Baker’s touchdowns came in the second half — a one-yard Jon Reeves run and a 23-yard pass from Martin Updike to Justin Cobb. Updike completed 17 of 33 passes for 132 yards with one interception. Reeves led BU rushers with 128 yards on 30 carries.
