Delaverne Webster

Graveside services for Delaverne Webster, 79, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Webster died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Rantoul, the daughter of William and Noma (Gregg) Burgoon. She graduated from Ottawa High School and was a homemaker.

In 1946, Mrs. Webster moved from Ottawa to Lawrence.

She married Bill Webster on June 10, 1946, in Lawrence. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include four daughters, Jane Webster, Terri Webster-Wiesner and Nancy Lahm, all of Lawrence, and Robin Levra, La Canada, Calif.; two sisters, Elaine Langley, Lyndon, and Margie Anderson, Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to Kansas University Medical Center Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, sent in care of the funeral home.
