Jordan Andrew Gouge, 15, of Boy Scout Troop 55, chartered to Westside Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, will achieve the rank of Eagle Scout during his Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday at the church.

Jordan joined Cub Scout Pack 3055 in 1995, Webelos in 1997 and Troop 55 in 1999. He has attended summer camp at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Mo., for the past five years. He has participated in community service projects, including Scouting for Food, Clinton Lake Cleanup and United Way Day of Caring. For his Eagle Scout service project, Jordan planned and led the construction of a handicap- and wheelchair-accessible sidewalk at the West Junior High School water garden and outdoor learning area.

He has earned the Twelve Month Camper award and has completed junior leader training. He has earned 21 merit badges. He has served as troop guide, quartermaster, assistant patrol leader, patrol leader and senior patrol leader.

Jordan is a Brotherhood member in the Order of the Arrow and a Hardway Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He completed his Eagle Board of Review on July 15 at Camp Bartle.

He is the son of Kim and Teri Gouge, Lawrence.
