An article Tuesday on the Kaw Valley Living Wage Alliance’s Labor Day picnic incorrectly referred to the group backing the City Commission campaigns of Boog Highberger, Mike Rundle and David Schauner. The group was the Progressive Lawrence Campaign. In addition to support for the living wage, it also plans to tackle issues related to transportation and housing. The Living Wage Alliance will continue to focus on living wage issues.

In an article in Tuesday’s Journal-World about The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s use of a photo of Britney Spears and Madonna kissing at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Associated Press said the photo brought a “deluge” of complaints to the newspaper. It also said Hank Klibanoff, the managing editor, apologized “to readers” in a published response. The newspaper received only about a dozen e-mails and phone calls about the photo.

Klibanoff said his response, published Monday, was to an e-mail from one reader.
