Hahn services

? Services for Harvey Hahn, 59, Eureka, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Hahn died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

He was born Sept. 11, 1944, in Ottawa, the son of John Arthur and Margarett Elizabeth (Ware) Hahn. He grew up in the Richmond and Lane communities and graduated from Lane High School in 1962.

Mr. Hahn worked for a custom wheat harvest crew the summer after graduation, then at the Economy Service Station in Ottawa. He worked in the weight division of the Kansas Highway Commission from 1972 to 1976 and owned and operated H&H Supply of Princeton from 1974 to 1986. He was also an independent truck driver from 1983 to 1986. He began working for Bones Transportation Inc. in Ottawa as a dispatcher in 1987, then from 1991 to 1994 worked for Hannah Trucking of Harrisonville, Mo. He worked for Frank Bill’s Trucking in Severy from 1994 until his death.

He married Joyce Hamilton Bitts in Miami, Okla. They later divorced.

Survivors include two sons, Jeral Anthony Hahn, Gardner, and Darin Eugene Bitts, Oklahoma City; a sister, Merry Dee Hornbuckle, Ottawa; and four grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
