Florence E. Watson

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Services for Florence E. Watson, 89, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Watson died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003.

She was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Lawrence, the daughter of Fred S. and Dorothy Rothwell Alford.

Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and member of Haven Baptist Church. She was a volunteer for Cancer Action Inc. and member of the Go Getters Club.

She married Keith G. Watson. He died in 1983. Three sons, Nathan L. Watson, Keith G. Watson and Gary A. Watson, and a grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Ron E. Watson, Wamego, and Dennis B. Watson, Pittsburg; two brothers, Gene Alford, Peoria, Ill., and Ted Alford, Philadelphia; a sister, Areta Meyer, Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
