Saathoffs nab tourney

Shawn Saathoff of Lawrence and Bob Saathoff of Topeka teamed to win $3,600 by placing first in the Jack Pot Buddy Bass Classic last weekend at Table Rock Lake in Missouri. The pair caught four bass weighing a total of 7.92 pounds.

Buddy champions

Tony Sutton and Nate Cunningham combined to win the Lawrence Fishing and Outdoor Club buddy fishing tournament Oct. 5 at a private lake north of Lawrence. Brian Kingsley and David Berkowitz teamed for second place. Sutton caught the longest fish, a 20-inch largemouth bass.
