Lilah Lindsey

Services for Lilah Lindsey, 77, Lawrence, were Sept. 29 at Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Pleasanton. Burial was in Pleasanton Cemetery.

Mrs. Lindsey died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 23, 1926, in LaCygne, the daughter of Jesse and Lilah (Bixler) Hall.

Mrs. Lindsey was an executive secretary for the president of Western Insurance in Fort Scott before she retired. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 862 of Pleasanton.

She married Glen Lindsey in 1944 in Santa Rosa, N.M. He survives, of Lawrence.

Other survivors include two sons, John Lindsey, Lawrence, and Richard Lindsey, Pleasanton; two sisters, Dorothy Miller, Galt, Calif., and Pearl Russell, Pleasanton; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In place of memorials, the family suggests taking a friend to lunch.
