Helen Idella Miner

Eudora ? Services for Helen Idella Miner, 88, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eudora United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mrs. Miner died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 30, 1915, in Mound Valley, the daughter of James and Chestie (Johnson) Rinck.

Mrs. Miner was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastern Star Lodge, Rebekkah Lodge, Eudora Historical Society, Eudora United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women Martha’s Circle.

She married Herbert M. Miner on Aug. 24, 1934, in Perry. He died Aug. 25, 1999.

A daughter, Violet Patricia “Patty” Bernitz, also died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Emma Jean Ellis, Eudora; a son, Terry L. Miner, Manchester, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to the Eudora Nursing Center or Eudora United Methodist Church, sent in care of the mortuary.
