Blubaugh services

Services for James Michael Blubaugh, 56, Lawrence, will be later in St. Louis.

Mr. Blubaugh died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He had cancer.

He was born March 1, 1947, in Seminole, Okla., the son of Alfred S. and Pauline (Arnold) Blubaugh. He participated in football and wrestling at Kapaun High School in Wichita and received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Regis College in Denver. He took graduate courses at Kansas University after training with the U.S. Marines. He had lived in the St. Louis area for 22 years.

Mr. Blubaugh had a career in sales. He was scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 313 in Des Peres, Mo., and trained scout leaders in the St. Louis area council. He was part of the Bonhomme, Mo., Wrestling Club’s coaching staff for 10 years.

Survivors include two sons, Mark, Denver, and Tim, Riverside, Calif.; a daughter, Lori Perkins, San Diego; their mother, Neva Blubaugh, St. Louis; and a brother, Jon, Lawrence.

The family suggests memorials to Boy Scouts of America, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
