— Setter Elise Stella had eight service aces and five blocks, Lindsey Ahlen had 12 kills and two blocks, and Melinda Nichols had seven kills as Lawrence Seabury Academy went 1-2 at a volleyball quadrangular Friday at Manhattan Flint Hills Christian.

Seabury (5-16) fell to Elyria, 25-7, 25-19, and to Wichita Sunrise, 25-22, 25-17, but beat Flint Hills Christian, 25-15, 25-11.

"Flint Hills beat us in the first match of the year," Seabury coach Craig Friedrichsen said. "And we whipped 'em tonight. We had 15 kills in that match and eight aces serving. We just played extremely well, and I think the girls got some revenge tonight."

Seabury plays host to a triangular Tuesday with Topeka Cair Paravel and Olathe Christian.
