Elsie Jean Panzer

Services for Elsie Jean Panzer, 74, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Salina. Burial will follow in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Panzer died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Rossville, the daughter of Brunetta I. (Woolsey) Eaton. She attended Kanopolis High School. She moved from Salina to Lawrence in 2001.

Mrs. Panzer was the former owner and operator of LaBelle Boutique-Woman’s Clothing Store in Ellsworth. She also was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Salina.

She married Frank Henry Panzer on Aug. 12, 1946, in Great Bend. He died Oct. 2, 1989.

A granddaughter also died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Panzer-Howell, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Frank Robert Panzer, Tulsa, Okla., and Max Alan Panzer, Lawrence; three brothers, Glen Lambott, Littleton, Colo., Robert Lambott, Topeka, and Donald Lambott, Broomfield, Colo.; a sister, Elena Neuman, Ellsworth; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County, Trinity Respite Care Inc. or Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Assn. for the oncology department, sent in care of the mortuary.
