Recruit Krabbenhoft could commit to KU

One of the top high school junior basketball players in the country could be close to giving an oral commitment to Kansas University.

Joe Krabbenhoft, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Sioux Falls, S.D., who attended Tuesday’s KU-Michigan State game, might accept a KU scholarship offer as an early Christmas present.

“Coach (Bill) Self will visit me in December. If everything goes as planned during that visit, the chances of me giving a commitment are very high,” Krabbenhoft told Shay Wildeboor of rivals.com.

“Kansas is really my dream school. I enjoyed my time at Kansas, and my family had a good time as well.”

Krabbenhoft also is considering Minnesota, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Florida.
