Mary R. McDaniel Plank

Mrs. McDaniel died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born June 23, 1936, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Cecil E. and Marie Howard. She lived in the Kansas City area most of her life before moving to Ozawkie and Lawrence 12 years ago.

Mrs. McDaniel worked as an assembler for Electronic Research for 11 years. She retired in 1974. She attended the Highland Crest Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City.

She married Raymond E. McDaniel in 1951 at Kansas City, Kan. He died Aug. 15, 1983.

Survivors include seven sons, Richard McDaniel, Ozawkie, Ken McDaniel, Colorado Springs, Colo., Aaron McDaniel, Perry, Tim McDaniel, Charlotte, N.C., Gary McDaniel and Terry McDaniel, both of Lawrence, and Larry McDaniel, Topeka; two daughters, Mary Criqui, Ottawa, and Brenda Downey, Pomona; a brother, Floyd Howard, Ottawa; two sisters, Hattie Shoemaker, Table Rock Lake, Mo., and Florence Shirley, Kansas City, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
