Ottawa — Graveside services for Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Hoyt , 80, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.
Mrs. Hoyt died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.
She was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Rantoul, the daughter of Louis Porter and Mary Bessie (Stanbro) Gardner.
A life resident of Franklin County, Mrs. Hoyt was a homemaker. She worked at North American Hotel Cafe, L & L Cafe, Hill House and King Radio, all in Ottawa. She retired in 1988.
She married Elbert "Bud" Hoyt on Oct. 22, 1939, in Ottawa. He died June 11, 1990.
A great-grandson also died earlier.
Survivors include three daughters, Muriel Beck, Lavaca, Ark., Dorothy Hoyt-Reed, Lawrence, and Vicki Hoyt, Ottawa; a son, Michael Hoyt, Ottawa; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and until the service hour Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
