Robert Gary Rothwell

Mr. Rothwell died of cancer Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at his home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Lawrence, the son of Glenn and Fern Rothwell. He lived in Lawrence most of his life.

Mr. Rothwell graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965. He worked as a truck driver and for Kansas University and Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a custodian.

He married Bonnie R. Specht on Aug. 3, 1966. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert Jr. and Randy, and two daughters, Lisa and Nancy, all of Lawrence; two brothers, Richard, Fort Worth, Texas, and Shawn, Lawrence; and six grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. and Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
