  • Army Pvt. Jason L. Plaster has arrived at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Md., to complete the tracked vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course.

Plaster will be trained to troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on internal combustion engines, powertrains, chassis components and accessories on tracked vehicles, including servicing fuel, electrical and hydraulic systems.

He will learn to test and operate vehicles and equipment, and perform recovery operations and maintenance on abandoned, damaged or disabled tracked vehicles.

Plaster is the son of Cathy Plaster, Tonganoxie, and grandson of Eleanor McKee, Tonganoxie.

  • Marine Corps Pvt. Tyler Robinson recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego.

Robinson is a 2003 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. He is the son of Debbie Heath, Tonganoxie, and Randy Robinson, Baldwin.
