Bridgens-Rankin

Jeremy Rankin and Erin Bridgens

Gregg and Terrie Bridgens, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Rachael Bridgens, Lawrence, to Jeremy Scott Rankin, Wamego.

The bride-to-be is a Free State High School graduate. She attended Kansas State University. She is a nurse assistant.

The future groom is the son of Jeff Rankin, Wamego, and Susan Johnson, Emporia. He graduated from Wamego High School and K-State. He is employed at Chili’s Grill & Bar.

The couple plan an April 24, 2004, wedding at Clinton Parkway Assembly of God in Lawrence.

Brown-Cheek

Estha Brown and Gregory Cheek, both of Buffalo, Mo., announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Brown. The future groom is the son of Victoria Wiemer, York, Neb., and Wayne Cheek, Lawrence.

The couple are members of the 203 Engineer Battalion of the Missouri National Guard. They are serving with the 1st Armored Division in Baghdad, Iraq.

The couple plan to marry when they return to the United States in summer 2004.

Greene-Luman

Leigh Ann Greene and Adam Luman, Overland Park, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Sandy Everheart Eisen, Bosque Farms, N.M., and Leon Greene, Overland Park. She is a 1994 Lawrence High School graduate and attended Johnson County Community College. She is a police officer with the Overland Park Police Department.

The future groom is the son of Mary Ann Hanson, Detroit, and Ken Luman, El Dorado. He graduated from El Dorado High School and attended JCCC. He is a sales representative for N’Glantz and Son in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple have not set a wedding date.
