Stensaas services
Private graveside services for Charles E. Stensaas, 79, Lawrence, will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Stensaas died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
He was born June 26, 1924, in Norway, Kan., the son of Jens and Maudie Stensaas.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Stensaas worked for Farmers Co-op in Lawrence, before retiring. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He married Ava Marie Wood on Nov. 12, 1956, in Lawrence. She died April 30, 1985. He later married Beverly Ann Schrage Carter. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a brother, Robert E., Concordia.
The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assn., sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
