Clarence and Ethel Foos, Bazine, announce the engagement of their daughter Sheila Foos, Lenexa, to Tim Rehder, Lenexa, son of Bert and Carole Rehder, Lawrence.
Grandparents of the couple are Ted Wittman, Bazine, and Richard and Edith Scott, Aimes, Iowa.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Bazine High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in business from Fort Hays State University. She is the patient assistance program coordinator at the University of Kansas Hospital.
The future groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and a master’s degree in sports administration from KU. He is vice president of sports and competition for Special Olympics Kansas.
The couple plan a Dec. 6 wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hays.
Nolte-Welsh
Terry and Kenya Nolte, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Nolte, Denver, to Craig Welsh, Denver, son of Richard and Joan Welsh, Boca Raton, Fla.
The future bride is a 1990 graduate of Topeka West High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in studio art from Baker University in 1994. She obtained elementary education certification from Regis University in Denver. She is a second-grade teacher in Boulder, Colo.
The future groom received a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado in 1997. He is an architect in Denver.
The couple plan an April 17, 2004, wedding in Golden, Colo.
Volek-Wormington
Sabra Volek and Jeffrey Wormington, both of Budapest, Hungary, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Thomas and Melody Volek, Lawrence. She is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School.
The future groom is the son of Terry and Marti Wormington, Andover. He is a 1998 graduate of Wichita East High School.
They both received bachelor’s degrees in political science, international studies and Russian language in 2003 from Kansas University. They are pursuing master’s degrees in international relations and European studies at Central European University.
The couple plan a Dec. 30 wedding at the Gellert Hotel in Budapest, Hungary.
Robison-Coble
Christy Robison and James Coble, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.
The future bride is the daughter of Rodney Robison, Cottonwood Falls, and Sandra Robison, Lawrence.
The future groom is the son of Neba Coble, Perry, and the late Jerry Coble.
The couple plan an August 2004 wedding in Lawrence.
