The University Bridge Club announces winners of its Nov. 8 game. Tom and Cathy Waller, Phil Hawley and Iva Koleber were hosts.

Blue winners were Ed Stellmacher, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Don Whitaker, third; Henry Wigington, fourth; and Lois Liebert, fifth.

Pink winners were Hazel Stellmacher, first; Ailene Bocquin, second; Bette Lukens, third; Jane Golden, fourth; and Alice Akins, fifth.

The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club met Monday. Nine and a half tables competed in a stratified game that used a Rover Mitchell movement. Virginia Seaver directed the game.

Playing North-South, Shirlie Vaughn and Sally Taylor claimed first place in A and B. Russell LaForce and Ilse Steinhardt placed second in A and B and first in C. Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough placed third in A. Virginia Eddy and Phyllis Brownlee placed fourth in A.

Sitting East-West, John Hickey and Patt Radford finished first in A. Linda Randall and Peter Petillo finished second in A and first in B and C. Jeff Abrams and Roz Abrams took third in A and second in B and C. Judy Bevan and Lynn Hui were fourth in A and third in B and C.

The Lawrence 299ers Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 5. Ten pairs competed in a stratified game that use a Howell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game. The American Contract Bridge League ranked the game as a sectional tournament.

Chuck Hedges and Yvonne Hedges claimed first place in A, B and C. Harriett Olson and Artie Shaw finished second in A, B and C. Don Brennaman and Eldon Herd took third in A, B and C. Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce placed fourth in A, B and C.
