Votaw

Everett and Margaret Votaw, Eudora, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Everett Votaw and Margaret Tennyson were married Nov. 20, 1943, in Lawrence. The couple have lived on a farm south of Eudora for 60 years.

Their children are Marilyn and Larry Wilson, and Alan and Delores Votaw, of Eudora; and Gloria and Jerry Kazmaier, Clinton, Mo. They have nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Russell

Ila and Vernon Russell, Lawrence, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary while spending a week in Marco Island, Fla.

Ila Andersen and Vernon Russell were married Oct. 20, 1973, in Baldwin.

Ila is a Baldwin High School graduate. She received a degree in business administration and human resources from Kansas University. Vernon is a Baldwin High School graduate. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a senior chief petty officer after 29 years of active and reserve duty.

They have three children: Anna Russell, Lawrence; Kristeen Russell, Topeka; and Steven Russell, San Diego.
