Chicago Board of Trade
Soybean futures jumped substantially higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat prices also increased, while corn fell. Wheat for December delivery rose 5 cents to $3.83 a bushel; December corn fell 2 1/2 cents to $2.32 3/4 a bushel; December oats rose 2 1/4 cents to $1.46 a bushel; January soybeans rose 13 1/2 cents to $7.62 a bushel.
Beef futures advanced while pork futures retreated on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
December live cattle rose 1.50 cent to 98.32 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 1 cent to 98.32 cents a pound; December lean hogs fell .70 cent to 52.67 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell 3 cents to 85.15 cents a pound.
