• Venturing Crew 2691, chartered to the Wesleyan Church of Lawrence, had its semiannual election of officers. The following officers were elected: Will Sharp, president; Jack Berkowitz, administrative vice president; Bill Berkowitz, activities vice president; Cameron Hershiser, secretary; and Peter Tuttle, treasurer. Crew 2691 has participated in high adventure trips in New Mexico, Florida and Colorado.

Venturing is a Scout program for youths who have completed eighth grade and are between the ages of 14 and 21.

• Cub Scout Pack 3051, chartered to Pinckney School, met Oct. 29 at Lakeview Hunting Lodge, north of Lawrence. The pack had dinner, played games and participated in ceremonies. Carolyn and Ed Church were hosts. Cubs who attended were Jordan Wittbrod, August Murphy-Beach, Devin Barber, Nicholas Mead, Dakota Zinn, Diamond Brockway, Cory Church, Graham Hosking, Cameron Reusch, Austin Garner, Johnathan Roberts, Spencer Wilson, Ian Gent, Nilo Pena, Patrick Shields, Calvin Abbott, William Gibson and Justin Stearns.
• Cub Scout Pack 3057, chartered to Lawrence Catholic Schools, had its monthly meeting Oct. 21. The theme was the “Land of the Pharaohs.” Each den gave a presentation of their monthly activities, relating to the theme. The following Cubs received their Bobcat Badge: Kolbe Murray, Phillip Commons, Luke Oberrieder, Thomas Peterson, Clayton Pfeifer, Adam Wagner and Jakob Walter.
