Phillip C. Overbaugh

Services for Phillip C. Overbaugh, 86, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Overbaugh died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 7, 1917, in Lawrence, the son of Charlie and Emma (Hunsinger) Overbaugh.

Mr. Overbaugh had worked with each of the Ford Motor dealerships in Lawrence, beginning in 1937, and retired from the parts department of Laird Noller Ford garage in 1980.

He married Lena James on Jan. 8, 1937, in Ottawa. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Betty Diehl, Lawrence; a sister, Helen Louise Nunemaker, Topeka; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Phyllis Berndt, died in December 2002.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to American Diabetes Assn. or Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
