FREDONIA ? Police were investigating the deaths of two adults and an infant whose bodies were found inside a camping trailer in southeast Kansas, authorities said Wednesday.

Police received a call Tuesday evening from residents of the Cottonwood Trailer Court concerning the well-being of the couple and their baby, said Wilson County Atty. Jill Chard. She said neighbors were suspicious because they hadn’t seen the couple in a while.

The identities of the victims were being withheld, Chard said.

A Fredonia Police officer and a Wilson County Sheriff’s deputy responded and entered the trailer, where they discovered the bodies, Chard said.

Chard would not give details on the conditions of the bodies or on the cause of deaths while the case was under investigation. She said autopsies were being performed Wednesday.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation was assisting with the investigation.
