Ramsey’s perfect game leads Ottawa to win

? Monday in Ottawa was all about Megan.

Freshman pitcher Megan Ramsey pitched a perfect game, leading Ottawa High’s softball team to a 5-0 victory Monday against Anderson County.

Ramsey tied a Cyclone record with 18 strikeouts, and she was also superb at the plate. Ramsey was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Junior Amanda Guenther scored two runs for the Cyclones (14-5), and seniors Jennifer Warren and Jenny Heck added two hits each.

“Everything is coming together at the right time,” OHS coach Renee Malburg said. “We are hitting the ball well and playing solid defense.”
