City teams to hit road

Free State is headed to Manhattan, Lawrence High is off to Olathe, and Seabury Academy will travel to Leavenworth for first-round state soccer playoff games Tuesday.

Free State (6-10) is the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Manhattan (8-6-1) Tuesday in the Little Apple. Game time tentatively is set for 7 p.m. The FSHS-MHS winner will face the winner between top-seeded Washburn Rural (13-1-2) and eighth-seeded Junction City (1-15) at 6 p.m. Thursday at Rural.

Seventh-seeded LHS (2-13-1) will travel to Olathe District Activities Complex to face second-seeded Olathe North (13-3) at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The winner of that game will face the winner between third-seeded Topeka (8-6-1) and sixth-seeded Leavenworth (4-11-1) Thursday at ODAC.

And Seabury, the No. 11 seed with a 1-6-2 record, will face second-seeded Leavenworth Immaculata (11-4) at Saint Mary College at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
