Anna Mae Reed

? Services for Anna Mae Reed, 75, Bronson, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, Fort Scott. A second service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Baldwin. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin.

Mrs. Reed died Friday, May 16, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Missouri, the daughter of Mack Hartman and Jessie (Miller) Hartman.

She moved to Baldwin in 1960 from Ottawa. In 1999 she moved from Baldwin to Bronson.

Mrs. Reed worked as a cook for sorority houses at both Kansas University in Lawrence and Baker University in Baldwin.

She married James F. Reed in June 1952. They later divorced.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Reed, Mildred, and David Reed, Baldwin; a sister, Ruth M. Hartman, Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and a great-grandson.

An infant son, Larry Lynn Reed, died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Fort Scott chapel. The family also will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the Baldwin funeral home.
