David and Shirley McKee, Lawrence, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family.

David McKee and Shirley Snyder were married May 22, 1943, at Westport Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Mo.

David is a graduate of Central High School, St. Joseph, Mo. He graduated from St. Joseph Junior College and Kansas University. He was a terminal grain elevator manager. He is retired.

Shirley is a Westport High School graduate. She graduated from Kansas City Junior College and KU.

The couple’s children are Kathy Stover, Lawrence, and Dr. Doug McKee, Visalia, Calif. They have four grandchildren.

Johanning

Carl and Katherine Johanning, Baldwin, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 25 at the home of Orville and Judy Johanning.

Carl Johanning and Katherine Brass were married May 25, 1943, in Lawrence. They have farmed all of their married lives.

Their children are Orville and Judy Johanning, Baldwin, and Sondra and Daryl Nickel, Potomac, Md. They have four grandchildren.
