The Kansas University softball team honored six players at its annual awards banquet Saturday. KU posted a 26-22 record in the 2003 season and tied for eighth place in the Big 12 Conference.

The Jayhawks honored, with awards won: Senior Kirsten Milhoan and junior Kara Pierce, co-Most Valuable Player; sophomore Lindsey Weinstein, Defensive MVP; freshman Jessica Moppin, Offensive MVP; junior Sandy Smith, Jayhawk Pride; freshman Ashley Frazer, Most Improved Player.
