Business leaders named to nonprofit board

Debra Black of University National Bank has been re-elected chair of the Lawrence Junior Achievement board of directors.

Other officers are Roger Scott, of Scott Temperature; Dee Bisel, of Minuteman Press, and Brenda McFadden, of McFadden and Associates.

New board members are Ed Samp, of Corner Bank, Don Duncan, of Robert W. Baird Co., Jamie Lowe, of US Bank and Seth Jones, of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Other board members are Annelee Marsh, of Kmart Distribution Center; Clint Bradley, of Central National Bank; Clarence Reynolds, of IBM; Trudi Haskins, of DST; Peggy Leslie, of Douglas County Bank; Karen Schuyler, of Astaris; Todd Harris, of Peoples Bank; Deborah Thompson, of LMH; Jerry Magnuson, of Express Personnel; Greg DiVilbiss, of the Bristol Groupe; Elois Allen, of Del Monte, and Marcy Brey, of Hallmark Cards.

Also on the board are Randy Weseman, superintendent of Lawrence public schools; Dick Lind, former Farmland Industries plant superintendent; Fred DeVictor, director of Lawrence parks and recreation; Hank Booth, of Kansas Wildscape; Chuck Woodling, of the Journal-World, and Glynn Sheridan, of Sunflower Bank.

Through its fund-raising projects, Junior Achievement is able to send volunteers into 18 area schools and provide young people with practical economic education programs.
