Opal Godlove

? Graveside services for Opal Godlove, 96, Ada, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Ada.

Mrs. Godlove died Friday, May 2, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis, Kan.

She was born Jan. 9, 1907, in Platte County, Mo., the daughter of Edward and Emma Baber Shaw.

She was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Ada United Methodist Church, where she also was a member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Ada Ladies Club.

She married Risdon S. Godlove in 1937 in Lawrence. He died in 1995.

Survivors include three brothers, Willard Shaw, Topeka, Clifford Shaw, Lawrence, and Everett Shaw, Emporia; and two sisters, Loretta Sutton, Lawrence, and Luella Strong, Bakersfield, Calif.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Shields Funeral Home in Minneapolis.
