Richard Lee Sims

— Services for Richard Lee Sims, 60, Kansas City, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Sims died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at his home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Garden City, the son of Paul R. and Mary (Betty) Sims.

He graduated from Quenemo High School, then attended Peru College in Nebraska, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree.

He taught school at Pomona Elementary for several years, then at Hamburg Elementary in Iowa. He also spent two years as an exchange teacher in Sydney, Australia.

For the past 10 years Mr. Sims was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include his mother, Lawrence; and three brothers, Donald, Ottawa, the Rev. Robert, Angola, Ind., and Gary, Williamsburg.

The family suggests memorials to First Christian Church, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa 66067.
