Darnell-Homer

Laura Maureen Darnell, Lawrence, and John David Homer, Overland Park, were married Oct. 19, 2002, at First Christian Church in Lawrence with the Rev. James Musser officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jay and Colleen Darnell, Lawrence. The groom is the son of David and Elizabeth Homer, Overland Park.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Cameron. Best man was Bill Homer. Bridesmaids were Katherine Allen and Melissa Baker. Groomsmen were Patrick Darnell and Aaron Ogle.

Scripture readers were Leah Henry and Brianna Buell. Prayers were given by Hannah Petr and Aaron Brooks. Ushers were Cody Plummer and Blake Wilson. Hannah Ross and Mary Ross were candle lighters. Andrea Ogle was soloist. Holly Beneventi was pianist. Ashley Plummer was guest book attendant. Program attendants were Mason Flinn, Allison Flinn, Logan Ross and Skylar Ross.

A reception and square dance followed the ceremony at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Harding University in 2002.

The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Harding University. He is a software analyst for Pennzoil Quaker State in Houston.

The couple reside in Houston.

Cromwell-Hoesch

Christa Ann Cromwell and Michael Ross Hoesch, both of Lawrence, were married Dec. 27, 2002, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Charles Polifka officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Melanie Cromwell, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Bill and Janice Hoesch, Wichita.

Maid of honor was Janel Ketelsen. Best man was James Bartlett. Bridesmaids were Cheri Bartlett, Amy Colvin, Hillary Hoesch and Helanie Fisher. Groomsmen were Capt. Norman Prue, Ross Linden, Bill Hoesch and Toby Eastland. Bearers of the flame were Jenny Horton and Kim Weber. Ushers were Kevin Ketelsen, Jason Robinson, Charles Pontius and Shawn Ellis. Belle Savannah Colvin was flower girl. Kieran Colvin was ring bearer. Reader was Trina Raney. String quartet was Serenade. Organist was Lynne Tidwell. Soloist was Lynnette Valencia Rempel.

A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Eldridge Hotel. The Michael Beers Band provided music.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Baker University. She owns the manicure spa at Hair Experts Design Team in Lawrence.

The groom is a 1990 graduate of Lebo High School and a 1995 graduate of Kansas University. He is a sales manager at Lewis Toyota in Topeka.

The couple celebrated the new year in New York City and plan to take a honeymoon trip this summer in Europe. They reside in Lawrence.

Gammill-Martin

Lisa Marie Gammill and Seth Taylor Martin, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 1, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin with the Rev. Nanette Roberts officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Brenda Gammill, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Jan and Ulf Langgard, Jeff Martin and Sheryle D’Amico, all of Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Lesley Gammill. Best man was Josh Martin. Bridesmaids were Katie Setser, April Hogue, Angie Packard, Sarah Martin and Allison Foster. Groomsmen were Gabe Martin, Noah Martin, John-Todd Gammill, Ryan Bailey and Adam Linhos.

Chad Clutchey, Martin Alvarez, Scott Breithaupt and Jeremy Rippe served as ushers. Candle lighters were Kyra Bittenbender and Allison Sollars.

Flower girls were Keeli Billings and Olivia Wilcox. Ring bearer was Easton Conn. Program and guest book attendants were Heather Scott and Jessica Buttler. Paige Leitnaker was soloist. Organist was Lynne Tidwell.

Becky Price served as wedding coordinator.

A reception followed the ceremony at Liberty Hall in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Kansas University in 2001. She is an assistant account executive at Zillner Marketing Communications in Lenexa.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Baker University.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Reed-Nichols

Heather Darlene Reed, Lawrence, and Jason Allan Nichols, Riverside, Calif., were married March 1, 2003, during a candlelight ceremony at First Church of Nazarene in Lawrence with the Rev. Don Dunn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dan Reed and Karen Reed, both of Lawrence. The groom is the son of David Nichols and Pam Nusser, both of Riverside, Calif.

Best man was Jeremy Burdick. Maid of honor was Hannah Reed. Groomsmen were Matthew Berg, Stephen Gruenholz, Adam Mackintosh and David Dunn. Bridesmaids were Darlene Chupp, Heather Crisp and Nicole Nichols.

The bride graduated from Kansas University with degrees in business and accounting. She is a tax accountant at McGladrey & Pullen in Kansas City.

The groom received a degree in architectural engineering from California State Polytechnic University. He is a structural engineer at Bartlett & West Engineers Inc. in Topeka.

The couple plan to take a honeymoon trip to Hawaii in May. They reside in Lawrence.
