Evelyn A. Perrill

Mrs. Perrill died Friday, March 21, 2003, at Logan Manor.

She was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Devizes community in Norton County, the daughter of C. Leslie Mathes and Viva B. Thompson. She was raised in Norton and Decatur counties and graduated from Norton Community High School. She had also lived in Pasadena, Calif.

Mrs. Perrill was a telephone operator. She was a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Order of Eastern Star.

She married Paul Joseph Smolen in 1942 in Los Angeles and later Elmer Perrill in 1948 in McCook, Neb. They both died earlier.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Scally, Lawrence, and Patti Long, Norton, and two grandchildren.
