He hopes he fares better than he did Tuesday.

Garland gave up six runs and nine hits in five innings as Kansas City handed the Chicago White Sox a 9-5 loss.

Rontrez Johnson hit his second spring homer in the second inning, and Mike Sweeney hit a three-run homer in the third. Johnson scored from third base on a double steal and Carlos Febles had an RBI double in the fourth, making it 6-2.

Winner Chris George allowed three runs and six hits in five innings.
