Ivie Hetrick

? Services for Ivie Hetrick, 90, Pomona, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery north of Pomona.

Mrs. Hetrick died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.

She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Fred and Rose (Hendrickson) Sailer. She attended North Pomona Grade School and Pomona High School. She moved to Pomona with her husband in 1947.

Mrs. Hetrick worked at Bruce’s Manufacturing in Ottawa, Shirley’s Cafe in Overbrook, Parmelee Manufacturing and Select Dairy in Ottawa. She was a member of Appanoose Baptist Church.

She married Paul Garber. They later divorced. She married Max Hetrick in 1946 in Larned. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Della Hamilton, Pomona, and Lois Ikenberry, Montgomery, Ala.; a son, Ed Garber, Ottawa; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Faye Gilliland, died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
