Homer Ray Perry

? Services for Homer Ray Perry, 77, Wellsville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Ottawa. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Perry died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 3, 1925, in Agricola, the son of Hubert Roscoe and Amy May (Livingston) Perry. He moved with his family to a farm north of Princeton in 1929. He attended Valley View Grade School and graduated from Princeton High in 1943.

Mr. Perry was a farmer and dairyman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, a County Highway Improvement Plan member, a trustee for Hayes Township, a Rural Water District No. 5 board member, a former member of Ottawa Coop Board, Mid-American Dairy Assn. and a Farm Bureau member. He received an Outstanding Young Farmer award in 1960.

He married Mattie Marie Evans on May 9, 1947, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Stan, Rick and Chris, all of Ottawa; two daughters, Melinda Fox and Melaina Walker, both of Ottawa; two sisters, Hazel Domnanish, Belle Vista, Ark., and Helen Linneman, Pomona; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
