Police still seeking 3rd suspect in shooting

The search continued Sunday for the third suspect in last week’s shooting death of a man at a southern Lawrence duplex.

Police say Corey Terrell Robinson, 22, Topeka, is considered armed and dangerous. They also think he might be in the Topeka area, a Lawrence Police spokesman said.

Two suspects were arrested Friday in the Kansas City area Friday. The arrests came several hours after Quincy Sanders, 22, was shot at 2603 Ridge Court.

Charges against one of the suspects, however, had been reduced by Saturday night, and he was released on bond, a Douglas County jailer said Sunday.

Randy Owens, 27, Topeka, was released on $7,000 bond on two counts of aiding a felon and one count each of felony obstruction of justice and felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers, a jailer said. Earlier Saturday a jailer had said Owens was initially booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Owens is to appear at 3 p.m. March 24 in Douglas County District Court.

Tremain Scott, 21, Topeka, also was arrested Friday. Scott is being held on $500,000 bond for second-degree murder. He is to appear in court at 3:30 p.m. today.
