Cub Scout Pack 3059, chartered to First Presbyterian Church, had its Blue & Gold Banquet on Feb. 22. During the banquet, the pack recognized the top five popcorn sellers: Daniel Clausing, first; Travis Sherve, second; Ryne Bretz, third; Nathan Stringer, fourth; and Ryan Walter, fifth. Pack 3059 sold more than $7,000 worth of popcorn this year. The sales benefit the Heart of America Council and the pack that sells the popcorn.

Boy Scout Troop 53, chartered to First Christian Church of Lawrence, went camping March 8-9 on a private farm west of Lawrence. The troop had its OA Tap-Out, and Junior Leader Training. The boys used their cold-weather camping skills after the temperature dropped 35 degrees.
Scouts who attended were Michael Bennett, Chris Berger, Joey Berger, Nick Chance, Mitch Grant, Devon Griffin, Zach Guy, Aaron Ideus, Nathan Ideus, Jimmy Kelley, Adam Lignell, Stephen May, Alek McElroy, Evan Mielke, Tim Muetz, Scott Shreders, Julian Spangler, Chance Steele, Chaz Steele, Zak Stremel, David Teefey, Collin Watgen, Tommy Watgen, Alex Webster, Brett Yulich, Jordan Yulich and Alex Zimmerscheid. Adult leaders who accompanied them were Ron Spangler, Carey Berger, Craig Grant, Kip Grosshans, Wayne Ideus, Eric Muetz, Roger Rieder, Steve Segebrecht and Mitch Yulich.

Cub Scout Pack 3055, chartered to West Side Presbyterian Church, recently had its annual Blue & Gold Banquet.
Cody Church, Gavin Spence, Donovan Ellis, James Lindsey, Sam Pyle, John Ross and Tony Whitaker advanced to Tiger Cub. Reuben James, Nick Pellett, Sawyer Zook, Seth Holiday, Geoffrey Pate, Korey Robinson, Caleb Bond and Travis Gomel advanced to Bear Cub. David Lawrence, Nicholas Haley, Elliot Johnson, Walker Lindsey, Cameron Howard, Justin Robertson, Steven Dalager, Tyler Hunsacker and Ian Simmons became First-Year Webelos.
Connor Kring, Christopher Grolock and James Murphy completed their Cub Scout careers. James Murphy was bridged into Boy Scout Troop 55.
