Mary Karen Hancock
Tonganoxie ? Services for Mary Karen Hancock, 58, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Hancock died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., after a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born March 5, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Harold and Marie E. (Williams) Lowe. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1963. She moved to Tonganoxie in 1978.
Mrs. Hancock was a member of Roy Knapps Rough Riders as a child, and she belonged to the Douglas County Trailriders Club. She had worked at B&J Thriftway in Tonganoxie and later at Coleman Equipment Inc. in Bonner Springs for 13 years.
She married Arthur Hancock Jr. on March 14, 1991, in Tonganoxie. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Leann Kuebelbeck, Hiedi Kuebelbeck, both of Tampa, Fla., and Lori Harris, Kansas City, Kan.; a stepson, Sean Hancock, Tonganoxie; three stepdaughters, Lynley Cox, Lori Vickory, both of Tonganoxie, and Stephanie Martin, Shawnee; two sisters, Barbara E. Sass, Tonganoxie, and Judy K. Booth, Kansas CIty, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie.
