No smoking

To the editor:

Another study has been made saying that children and others with respiratory diseases are more vulnerable to second-hand smoke than originally thought. Some people have asthma problems too, and this doesn’t help them. When will the city or the city commissioners pass a law that states, “No smoking in public places or restaurants”? It isn’t only detrimental to the smoker’s health, but to those around them. Should we all have to suffer for their addiction? Can we get this on the ballot for April 1, or is this too late?

It’s your health and the health of your children. If you care, do something about it.
