First Regular Missionary Baptist Church, 1646 Vt., will celebrate the Rev. Reginald Bachus’ second pastoral anniversary at the church at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Rev. George Waddles, pastor of New Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas, will be the guest speaker. He is the grandson of Opal Winn of Lawrence.

The Voices of Faith Choir of First R.M. Baptist Church will provide the music.

A dinner for church members and guests will be served around 2 p.m., following the morning service.

The afternoon service begins at 3:30 p.m., led by the Rev. C.L. Bachus, senior pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Kansas City, Kan. C.L. Bachus, the father of Reginald Bachus, has served as pastor of Mount Zion for the past 31 years.

The Mount Zion Church Mass Choir will provide the music at the second service.
