Ottawa whacks Ward

? When facing a team that averages 78 points per game, it’s not a good idea to give that team easy opportunities. Kansas City Ward must disagree.

In Ottawa High’s 104-80 victory Friday, the Cyclones (17-3, 7-1 Huron League) shot 29-of-53 from the free-throw line.

Ottawa coach David Grover said his squad shot 63 free throws last year against Ward.

“They never quit fouling,” he said.

Ross Thompson and Lee Baldwin each scored 21 points for the Cyclones.
