Donald Hamilton Decker

? Memorial services for Donald Hamilton Decker, 75, Bella Vista, Ark., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church, Bella Vista.

Mr. Decker died Friday, June 27, 2003, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County, Bentonville, Ark.

He was born May 19, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Ernest Hamilton and Grace (McElwain) Decker.

Mr. Decker graduated from Topeka (Kan.) High School and Washburn University, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Decker worked as an accountant and corporate auditor for the Kansas Department of Revenue. He moved from Lawrence, Kan., to Bella Vista in 1988. He was a volunteer at Bates Medical Center and served as treasurer of Seniors Assisting Seniors.

Mr. Decker was a member of St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church, where he sang in the choir and served on the Vestry as senior warden. He also was treasurer for five years.

He married Cara K. Decker. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Ann Banta, Richland, Wash.; a son, Drew, Topeka; a sister, Jane Sallee, Lawrence, Kan.; a brother, Paul, Napa, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
