Douglas Polzin

? Memorial services for Douglas Polzin, 48, Phoenix, will be Wednesday in Glendale, Ariz. Another service in Emporia, Kan., will be later.

Mr. Polzin died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Banner Hospice in Phoenix. He was cremated.

He was born Feb. 19, 1955, in Great Bend, Kan., the son of John and Kathleen (Schommer) Polzin. He graduated from Emporia High School and Kansas University. He had lived in Phoenix for 17 years.

Mr. Polzin was a self-employed contractor in Emporia, then worked for Pillar Communities of Arizona in Glendale.

He married Judy Keller on Oct. 19, 1990, in Sedona. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Emporia; two daughters, Dana Grammer, Lawrence, Kan., and Devon Elmer, Eudora, Kan.; a sister, Denise Stauffer; three brothers, Daryl, D’Owen and Dirck, all of Emporia; and three grandchildren.
