Workshops to teach history preservation

MyStory, a series of workshops to teach people how to tell their stories and record their experiences, will begin July 8.

The workshops focus on four areas: writing, photography, preservation and textiles.

Planned programs include:

  • Writer’s workshop.
  • Build your own shadowbox.
  • Parent and child writing.
  • Storytelling with pictures and portraiture techniques.
  • Preservation of paper documents and photographs.
  • Storytelling through quilts.
  • The best toys and games.
  • Cultural symbols in quilting.
  • Preserving domestic linens.

Old and young generations of families are encouraged to attend the workshops together.
