Niebrugge services

Worden ? Services for Elizabeth Hazel Niebrugge, 93, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John’s United Church of Christ north of Worden. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Niebrugge died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1910, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the daughter of William Withbolt and Helen Dejong Van Malsen. She attended schools in Grand Rapids. She moved to a farm in rural Douglas County after her marriage.

Mrs. Niebrugge began cleaning homes and caring for children at the age of 15. She was a homemaker and member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a 50-year member of Lloyd Beaton Post No. 228 American Legion Auxiliary in Baldwin.

She married Karl Niebrugge on Feb. 3, 1953, in Grand Rapids. He died Sept. 27, 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Janel Coffman, Baldwin; a son, Alan Niebrugge, Louisburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.
