KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Kansas City Post 83 scored two runs in the ninth and one in the 10th, defeating Lawrence's Raiders, 7-6, Tuesday at Eisenhower Park.
Derick Bailey was 2-for-5 with a solo home run, Tommy Mangino went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs and Dominick Harrell went 2-for-4 for the Raiders.
"Blake Dickson really pitched well, from the sixth to the eighth innings," Raiders skipper Carl Brooks said. "We got one guy thrown out at the plate and one at third in the latter innings. I coached badly tonight. I told the kids it was my loss. The Raiders are 13-3 and I am 0-1."
The Raiders (13-4) will meet Claremore, Okla., at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Al Ice Tournament at Hoglund Ballpark.
